The detectable needle, the essential tool for tracing non-emissive networks

Before any intervention that requires excavation, you must identify the buried networks. When the conduits are emissive, you naturally work with your detector but, in the presence of PVC or HDPE circuits the maneuver turns out to be more complex. To make your job easier, AGM-TEC recommends equipping yourself with the detectable needle.

The detectable needle for non-emissive networks must be connected to earth, connected to a frequency transmitter such as the TX10 for example, and passed through the pipe beforehand. So, you can locate a network of PVC pipes with your locator set to a low frequency. The Vscan® from AGM TEC is perfect for this job.

Beyond PVC networks, buried gas circuits or telecommunications cables are also within your reach.

The options for the 7.4 mm detectable needle

In addition to its restricted diameter which allows it to slip into the majority of conduits and trenches, the 7.4 detectable needle ring offers you a wide choice of length. Originally supplied in 60 meters, it can reach 90 meters or 120 meters to map a non-emitting network in a minimum of time.

If your activity requires a longer bead length, turn to the 11 mm detectable needle whose bead extends over 150 or 300 meters. No longer any detection of non-emissive networks remains beyond your reach.
